Grasshopper by BadbrushArt Grasshopper by BadbrushArt
Anti infantry and light Armour Reconnaissance mech with 25mm chain gun and marker light variant. Although not the most heavily armed or armoured mech the grasshopper found its niche with variant loadouts and good power to weight ratios, this allowed it to be thrown around like a rag doll as noted by the giant grins on most pilots upon shift switch. With its limited flight capabilities the mecha is often seen on the battle field bouncing from one location to the next out of harms way, hence the name grasshopper.

Recently the primary roles of this mech war to secure down heavier mechs and its pilots and provide points of reference for heavy armaments during the colony wars on mars.

Very good work and incredibly precise.
I love the sci-fic mood of the whole work, would look awesome for a movie.
The details are very well done.

Interesting, so this is all with digital art programs?

Yep, all photoshop in this case. I alter my method every few drawings, sometimes beginning with traditional line art or marker pen drawings that I scan in and paint over. Doing the line drawing in photoshop then colouring, or drawing block colours and continuing to work in until its done. And finally using [link] method of messing up a photo to create abstract forms and painting over it until something is recognizable, without as much success though.

That's really cool. I own a tablet and have a few programs, but I just can't get the hang of it. I love seeing what can be done though. I like to hear about other people's processes when it comes to using them.

Here's an excellent site [link] for learning the basics up to advance stuff for photoshop and its mostly free. The guy has a very concise and easy to follow way of using photoshop to achieve almost anything.
